So I’m trying something new. I’ve been reading this book about self esteem and it seems to be my exact problem. Most books seem to suggest using positive affirmations, but what happens when you don’t believe those affirmations? My answer was that I never stuck to them. So there’s a new approach thatbim using. I listen to what my negative inner voice says to me and I work on disarming that voice.
The funny (or saddest) thing is that of the reasons he lists as to why we have a negative voice, 8 of the 10 apply to me.
I am quite harsh with myself. Hopefully the book will help improve what I think of myself.
